The Position: The Senior Commercial Controller is a critical financial partner to the German and Austrian teams. This role supports both pre-launch and post-launch activities, providing strategic financial insights to local and international operations. Acting as an advisor to leadership, the controller aids business decision-making through analytical insights and commercial awareness. Key responsibilities: Business Partnering: collaborate with different departments to provide financial information, tools, and analysis to support leadership decisions Analyze real-time business data to support decision-making and manage all financial support areas Provide transparency on financial performance, including net revenue, spending reports, and market analysis Execute regular closing and reporting tasks, including checking rebate invoices, preparing accruals, and collaborating for an accurate accounting model Prepare and upload monthly reports, and liaise with headquarters Prepare monthly sales dashboard and integrated Profit & Loss Prepare details on spend for each functional lead Analysis Actuals vs Plan Prepare financial presentations (performance updates, staff meetings, Country Visit etc.) Submit local data to SAC (SAP Analytical Cloud) and prepare comments Ensure SAP processes relevant for the monthly closing are being taken care of, contact with other Departments Opportunity to grow professionally in the Company Requirements: Degree in Finance or equivalent with at least 5-7 years relevant budgeting, financial planning and reporting experience. Experience in pharma and in international groups is a plus. Strong understanding and application of financial principles, concepts, practices and standards. Good business acumen and judgement: commercial awareness with an active interest in the business internally and externally, seeks opportunities to build and help the business. Personality prospective “can do and want do” attitude, willing to do operational tasks but also able to explain figures and connect the business insight with the figures, creating the story behind. Strong problem-solver, able to pragmatically define solutions and capture and understand all relevant details when necessary. Strong abilities to interact with stakeholders and to create network across departments and geographies. Strong leadership, team-building, interpersonal, and project management skills are desired. Strong English and German is a must. Advanced Microsoft Excel is a must (think-cell a bonus). Experience in SAP ERP is highly preferred. Interaction with global colleagues & business partners may require occasional international travels.
