Title: Senior Financial Controller - Road Freight Division Location : Neufahrn bei Freising – On-site or Hybrid Introduction: As a Senior Financial Controller in the Road Freight Division for South Germany, you will play a pivotal role in financial analysis and management within a global logistics and transport organisation. This role involves overseeing budget planning, evaluating cost reports, and providing proactive recommendations to optimise financial performance. With a commitment to accuracy and transparency, even amidst challenging circumstances, you will contribute significantly to the success of their operations. Your responsibilities extend to reviewing budgets, analysing data sets, and supporting management in economic decision-making. Your Responsibilities Include: Ensuring and reviewing budget planning and reporting processes. Evaluating and preparing monthly cost centre reports and conducting result analyses. Proactively providing analysis results and actionable recommendations. Handling volatile figures with agility and accuracy. Analysing and interpreting large data sets using a variety of tools. Ensuring accuracy and transparency in a challenging IT infrastructure environment. Supporting management in economic matters and decision-making processes. Monthly calculation of forecasts/projections before closure. Leading the preparation and execution of monthly and annual closures. Coordinating and monitoring cost centre planning, tracking variances. Supporting project calculations and optimising controlling tools efficiency. Proactively addressing unforeseeable outcomes. Your Profile: Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, or related field. Additional certifications or knowledge in financial accounting and tax accounting. 5-8 years of experience in controlling. Experience in interdisciplinary support and consulting of colleagues and executives. Understanding of road freight industry. Adaptability and willingness to learn in a dynamic environment. Ability to thrive under pressure and in challenging situations. Strong numerical aptitude and ability to comprehend complex relationships. Proficiency in Power BI, SAP ERP, and advanced Excel skills. Knowledge of presentation tools. Competencies in analytical problem-solving, effective communication, organisational talent, and teamwork. Fluent in German (at least C1) and English (at least C1).
