Field Engineer (Energy Storage Systems)

Role Summary - As a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of energy storage systems across Germany. You'll play a key role in ensuring that our products are installed efficiently and are performing to the highest standards, providing technical support to our customers and working closely with internal teams.


Responsibilities:

  • Installation & Commissioning: Lead the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of energy storage and battery systems at customer sites.
  • Customer Support: Provide on-site technical support and training to customers, ensuring proper operation and maintenance of systems.
  • Maintenance & Upgrades: Perform regular maintenance on installed systems, diagnose faults, and carry out upgrades or modifications as needed.
  • Troubleshooting: Resolve technical issues on-site, providing swift and effective solutions to minimise downtime for customers.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, operations, and project management teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Reporting: Document and report installation and maintenance activities, ensuring accurate and timely communication to internal teams and clients.
  • Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment at customer sites.


Qualifications:

  • Degree or Equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in field engineering or similar roles within the renewable energy, battery technology, or energy storage sectors.
  • Hands-on experience with battery systems, solar energy systems, power electronics, or electric vehicle charging stations is highly desirable.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently on complex systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel across Germany for site visits.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
